About Us
SP Entertainment Music Group does not care who has now,
because we’ve got next. Based out of Houston, we are an
independent record label that was established in October 2006 by
CEO Scott Perry. Our first release was an R&B single by former
artist Aijaz entitled “What is Going On”, which sold over 134,000
copies with no major distribution. On the B side was the single
“More Than a Chick” by the label’s rapper, Shotime featuring
Aijaz. Shotime’s album Cash Cow is set for a national distribution
date sometime 2009. The second artist scheduled for release is the
crooner of the label, Marquise Shortell, scheduled for a later date
in 2010. Our label is not limited to hip hop and r&b, SPEMG
looks to delve into Gospel and other genres in the near future as
well with other artists and acts currently in the developmental
stages. SPEMG is constantly in search of new talent as we search
for the next big thing. Talent and originality are the qualities we are
searching for. Our ultimate goal is to be known for producing
quality artist(s) and songs which portray the essence of music, no
matter the genre. We currently host the WE GOT NEXT Talent
Showcase in various cities across the nation. The Showcase
provides a stage for new artist to perform, win cash, studio time,
photo shoots, and the opportunity to receive a recording contract.
